    2024 SWUFE Accounting Beijing "Think Sharing" Series Alumni Activities Successfully Held

    On the afternoon of November 24, the annual "Thinking Sharing" forum series, organized by the Beijing Alumni Association of the School of Accounting (SOA) at the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) was grandly held in Beijing. Ma Yongqiang, a member of the SWUFE's Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President, attended to provide guidance and delivered a speech. Also, present at the forum were Hu Bin, Director of the Beijing Research Institute, Tang Xuesong, Dean of the SOA at SWUFE, Yang Changhong, Deputy Secretary of the SOA's Party Committee, and Yi Yang, Vice Dean of the SOA. Over 100 alumni guests and alumni from the SOA in Beijing participated in the event.

    Ma Yongqiang expressed affirmation and congratulations for the organization of this forum. He emphasized that the development of various aspects, including the SWUFE's "New Finance and Economics" strategic upgrade, relies on the attention and support of all alumni. He also called on the alumni to actively participate in the upcoming centennial celebration of SWUFE next year, safeguard and build the spiritual home of SWUFE alumni together, and present a gift to "Centenary SWUFE".

    On behalf of the SOA, Tang Xuesong expressed gratitude and greetings to the attending guests and SOA alumni in Beijing. Additionally, he shared the recent good news of the SOA successfully obtaining doctoral granting qualifications in accounting and auditing and elaborated on the training philosophy and vision for professional doctoral students.

    Hu Bin encouraged the SOA's Beijing Alumni Association to strive for continuous improvement, fostering stronger connections and collaborations among alumni in Beijing. He emphasized that by enhancing personal growth, alumni can also contribute to the continual expansion of SWUFE's influence.

    The forum featured keynote speeches by three alumni: Yang Shanhua on "How to Become a Competent Financial Manager", Liu Yayong on "SWUFE Guiding My Path, Accounting Directing My Life", and Huang Long on "The Next Revolution Brought by AI". Some alumni guests also shared academic insights and professional experiences to provide insights and career perspectives with the attending alumni.

    Huang Yijian, the Secretary-General of the SOA's Beijing Alumni Association, expressed gratitude to the alumni who sponsored and organized this forum.

    After the forum, the participants took a group photo for remembrance and enjoyed a meal together.

    As we are on the brink of entering the centenary of SWUFE in 2025, "Thinking Sharing" further solidified alumni emotions, gathered alumni strength, and created a warm and celebratory atmosphere that reflects the anticipation of SWUFE accountants as they eagerly await the centenary celebration.
