To help finance students gain precise insights into industry development trends and enhance their professional competitiveness, the School of Accounting, School of Public Finance and Taxation, and School of Management Science and Engineering of Southwest University of Finance and Economics jointly organized a career development themed "Famous Enterprise Open Day" event with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) on the afternoon of May 13. Many students actively signed up to participate, experiencing the cutting-edge industry dynamics up close and appreciating the unique charm of the enterprise.
At the event site, partners, HR representatives, and department managers from the audit team, tax team, and digital intelligence center ERP information system team of the accounting firm provided detailed introductions from different perspectives. The firm's partners outlined the panoramic view of the enterprise's development from dimensions such as corporate scale, core business segments, and development history. The enterprise's HR deeply interpreted student-concerned topics about internships and employment, including talent recruitment criteria, career promotion paths, and benefits, answering questions to help students clarify their career development trajectories. Managers of each business department introduced their department's operations and hiring standards in detail by combining with actual business, allowing students to gain a clearer understanding of different business areas. They unanimously emphasized the critical role of "problem discovery-analysis-solving" capabilities in career development, defining growth directions for students and providing valuable suggestions and guidance for their future professional development. Subsequently, students actively asked questions based on their personal career plans, engaging in in-depth discussions with the firm's representatives on issues such as internship position requirements, professional skill matching, and industry development trends. The site was filled with frequent interactions and valuable insights. At the end of the event, all participants took a group photo, marking a successful conclusion to this visit.
This event not only enhanced students' understanding of industry frontiers but also promoted deep integration between universities and enterprises in the field of talent training. In the future, the schools will continue to deepen school-enterprise cooperation, build more high-quality platforms, and help students better establish their career development plans.
