    Leaders of School of Accounting Lead a Delegation to Visit CPA Australia, University of New South Wales and Singapore Management University to Expand International Exchanges and Cooperation

    From November 5 to 12, Liu Xiaobin, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the School of Accounting, led a delegation to visit partner universities and associations in Australia and Singapore, accompanied by faculty members from the CPC and Communist Youth League of the School of Accounting, as well as the student affairs team.

    In Sydney, Australia, the delegation visited CPA Australia. Liu Xiaobin introduced the School of Accounting's development of disciplines, program influence, and future development strategies. He said that the School hopes to further expand its collaboration with CPA Australia to jointly cultivate more accounting professionals with global vision and innovative capabilities. Gu Ying, Global Mobility Strategy Manager, and Senior Manager Li Leyi warmly welcomed Liu Xiaobin and the delegation. She provided a detailed introduction to the history, organizational structure, industry trends, and future development of CPA Australia. She expressed the hope to further strengthen cooperation and promote mutual development between both parties.

    In Sydney, Australia, Liu Xiaobin and the delegation visited the University of New South Wales. They engaged in in-depth discussions with faculty members on topics such as "CPA career planning in the digital economy era", "faculty and student exchange and joint training", and "enhancing university students' career planning and employability", reaching a broad consensus.

    In Singapore, Liu Xiaobin and the delegation visited the School of Accountancy at Singapore Management University, where they held discussions with Professor Wang Jiwei and Monica Li, Director of Admissions. Liu Xiaobin provided an overview of the history of the School of Accounting, SWUFE's "New Finance and Economics" strategy, and the grand celebration of its centenary. He also emphasized the hope to further enhance Chinese-foreign joint education programs, promote research in big data accounting reform, build and develop a stronger faculty team, deepen industry-education and science-education integration in project cooperation, and strengthen engagement with the global alumni network. Professor Wang Jiwei provided an overview of the history and development of Singapore Management University. He highlighted that SMU has earned multiple international business education accreditations, including AACSB and EQUIS. The SMU School of Accountancy has also achieved dual AACSB accreditations in both business and accounting. He noted that SMU's development aligns closely with the academic growth of the School of Accounting at SWUFE, offering promising prospects for collaboration. He expressed the hope to carry out deeper collaboration in areas such as big data and artificial intelligence, student exchange programs, graduate degree programs, research projects, and faculty exchange visits in the future.

    This visit played a significant and positive role in promoting deeper cooperation, research collaboration, and academic exchanges between the School of Accounting at SWUFE and CPA Australia, the University of New South Wales, and Singapore Management University. It further expanded opportunities for faculty and students to study abroad and opened new avenues for collaboration, injecting fresh momentum into the international development of the School of Accounting. Additionally, it laid a solid foundation for the grand celebration of SWUFE's centenary.
